Natasha Ainsley-Thomas
Originally from the UK, she first picked up a golf club at 11, and it quickly became a favorite way to spend time with her family. Natasha played college golf whilst getting her bachelors and masters degree. After playing for 17 years and coaching for 5, Natasha is passionate about making golf more welcoming and accessible for women. Outside of golf, she enjoys anything to do with food, playing netball, volleyball and pickleball and spending time with friends and family.

Nora Purtell
Originally from Brookfield, Wisconsin, and now based in Raleigh, Nora recently graduated with a business degree from NC State. With a background teaching golf at country clubs, she is currently pursuing her PGA Membership while combining her passion for the game with experience in merchandising and operations. A lifelong golf fan, she has also had the opportunity to attend the Masters in Augusta. Outside of golf, Nora enjoys thrifting, baking, cooking, and spending time with family.

Laura Hackney
Originally from North Carolina, Laura is a proud mom of three and is often playing golf with her husband. Laura brings creativity, personality, and plenty of fun to the ForeHER brand. Although she has been playing golf for years, she truly fell in love with the game while working with ForeHER and loves sharing that passion with other women. Outside of work, you’ll find her staying active, cheering on her kids, or planning her family’s next adventure.

Jen Patsy
Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and now based in Louisburg, North Carolina, Jen has been playing golf since the age of 12. She competed in high school before going on to play collegiate softball, where she earned both a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education and a master’s degree in School Administration and Higher Education. Jen is also the girls’ golf coach at Research Triangle High School. Outside of golf, she loves spending time with her pups.

Starr Guity
Originally from Virginia, she has been playing golf for 16 years. As an LPGA professional, she is passionate about helping golfers of all skill levels build confidence and enjoy the game. When she’s not on the course, Starr enjoys capturing life’s moments through photography, traveling to new places, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She believes golf is about more than just improving your swing—it’s about building community, creating lasting memories, and having fun along the way.

Pilar Berchot
Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Pilar began playing golf at age 8 and went on to compete at the D1 level for NC State University. After graduating, she served as an Assistant Coach at an NCAA D2 program in Tennessee while earning an MBA. Pilar is now based in the RDU area and works full-time at the United States Golf Association. Outside of golf, Pilar enjoys playing soccer, spending time with her husband and their two rescue cats and making the most of the time with family and friends.

Justine Pennycooke
Justine first picked up a golf club as a child and has loved the game ever since. She is currently a senior at NC State University studying Sport Management. Through her experiences in competitive golf, internships with the Carolinas Golf Association and First Tee, and now coaching, she’s passionate about creating a welcoming environment where women of all skill levels can build confidence and enjoy the game. Outside of golf, she enjoys working out, spending time at the lake or beach, and traveling.

Sandhills Coach
Loren Forney
Originally from Colorado, Loren is a PGA Member and Division I collegiate golfer with more than 10 years of experience teaching. She holds a bachelor’s in Psychology, which she loves incorporating into her coaching approach as she believes golf both a mental game and a physical one. Her favorite part of the game is the short game, and her number one book recommendation for golfers of any skill level is Every Shot Must Have a Purpose. Outside of golf, Loren is a mom of two who loves to bake, read, and spend as much time outdoors as possible.

Charlotte Coach
Madison baer
Originally from Texas, Madison has been playing golf for over nine years and competed in national tournaments throughout high school. She continued her golf journey at the University of Texas at Austin, where she played on the club team and served in a leadership role as a director. Passionate about helping others women discover the game, Madison loves building confidence in new golfers and making it fun. Outside of golf, she enjoys playing pickleball, reading, and going to concerts.
